ALL ABOUT THE FASHION!

It’s hard to believe that there’s already talk about next year’s Autumn and Winter fashion trends when we’re only just getting stuck into the awesomeness of our 2019 Summer styles, cool fabrics and refreshing colours. But, as they say… the show must go on, and the SAFW AW 2020 Collections and Trade Shows are set to kick off on the 23^rdof this month. And we’re excited! Well, certainly not about the thought of winter but definitely for the chance to glance some of South Africa’s hottest designers doing their thang!

Across the seas, however, it’s all Spring and Summer styles, tips and topics with the likes of Paris, Milan and New York hosting their coveted Fashion Weeks and bringing in the SS seasonal looks for 2020 thick, fast, and hot! And of course, as fashion lovers, we’ve been glued to our computer screens and social pages to see what’s hot. And have a good giggle at what’s not.

From the want-to-wear-it-right-now outfit, to the downright ridiculous, can’t-even-believe-that-passes-as-fashion pieces, here are some of our top picks from the AW20 Fashion Season shows from some of the world’s hottest, and dare we say it, kookiest, designers.

Oh Stella McCartney, how we love you and all the kick-ass femininity you bring to the runway! Not to mention all the cool things Isabel Marant is doing with denim.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a fashion review, if we didn’t include at least one black item in our top pick. Throw in some feathered ruffles, a bit of glitter, a lot of sparkle, some gold bling… like an entire outfit of it… and we’re sold!

We love what Elie Saab has done with florals, which hasn’t made much of an appearance on the runways for sometime, and while a few of these pieces are somewhat OTT, they’re inspiringly bold, and we dig that!

We love it when Fashion Week comes around. It inspires boldness. We’re not going to get caught dead in most of the stuff they’re strutting on the runway, but the beauty lies in our ability to take those ideas, and make them our own. We’re inspired by global trendsetters but even more so by our own friends and fans who dictate the wearability of the latest seasonal looks, and take their own fashion to the streets. And they do it with sass and style!
